MUMATEC HOSTING

Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective 30 October 2026

These terms apply to every service you buy from Mumatec Hosting. When you place an order, create an account or pay an invoice, you agree to them. They replace our earlier Services Agreement and Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

1. Who we are

Mumatec Hosting (“we”, “us”) is a web hosting and web design business based in Pretoria, South Africa. You are the person or business that buys from us (“you”, “the client”). You can reach us at info@mumatechosting.co.za or through the support area of your client account.

2. Our services

We provide web hosting, email hosting, domain registration and renewal, SSL certificates, web design and related services, as described on our website and on your order. We run our hosting on servers supplied by infrastructure partners, and register domains through accredited registrars. We choose these suppliers with care but they are outside our direct control. We will do what we reasonably can to resolve any supplier problem that affects you.

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

You may not use our services for anything unlawful, or to:

If we find a breach, we will normally contact you first and give you a reasonable time to fix it. If the problem is serious or urgent (for example malware, a hacked site or an active spam run) we may suspend the affected service immediately to protect other clients, and we will tell you why.

5. Prices, invoices and payment

6. Late payment, suspension and removal

  1. We send reminders before and after the due date.
  2. If an invoice is still unpaid 3 days after the due date, the service may be suspended automatically. It is switched back on automatically after payment.
  3. If an account stays unpaid, we will send you a written final notice giving you at least 14 days to pay or contact us before the service is terminated and its data removed.
  4. If you are having trouble paying, tell us early. We will usually agree a short payment arrangement if you ask before the due date.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel any recurring service at any time from your client account or by emailing us. Cancel before the next invoice is due so that you are not billed for another period. The service then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund the unused part of a period except as set out in section 8.

8. Refunds

We do not give refunds. Every payment is final once it is made. This includes hosting and email plans, website maintenance plans, website and design packages, domain registrations and renewals, SSL certificates and third-party licences. Please check what you are ordering before you pay, and ask us if you are unsure.

Services that do not work. If a service we sold does not work as described and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we will repair it, replace it or credit your account for the affected period. A credit is used against future invoices and is not paid out in cash.

Nothing in this section limits rights that the law of South Africa gives you and that cannot be given up.

9. Domain names

10. Web design and development

11. Website maintenance plans

12. Backups, data and security

We keep server backups to help us restore a service, but we do not guarantee that a backup exists or is current. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of your website, databases and email that matter to you. You can ask us for a copy of your data at any time while your account is active. After a service ends we may delete its data after the notice in section 6, or 30 days after you cancel.

13. Availability and support

We aim for the best uptime we reasonably can and will monitor and maintain our servers, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We will try to give notice of planned maintenance. Support is by ticket or email, and we reply as quickly as we can during business days.

14. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits, lost business or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected service in the 3 months before the claim arose. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including for gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing, or any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.

15. Your personal information (POPIA)

We collect and use your personal information to provide and bill for our services, to support you, to meet legal obligations, and to keep our systems safe. We share it only with the suppliers who help us deliver the service (for example registrars, payment providers and hosting partners), and we do not sell it. You may ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing us. Our privacy notice is in the Privacy Policy section of our legal page. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you may complain to the Information Regulator.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For changes that affect you materially we will email you at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect. The current version is always on this page.
