How to download a backup of your website

It is wise to keep your own copy of your website and email. Do this before big changes.

  1. Log in to cPanel and open Backup.
  2. Under Partial Backups, click Home Directory to download your files, and the Databases and Email Forwarders links for the rest.
  3. Save the downloaded files somewhere safe, such as your computer or cloud storage.

For WordPress you can also use a backup plugin.
